Do cops really target black men of course they do I blame this on a few different things first if all you see on the news and on music videos violence or its cool to be violent thats what america thinks because that what america sees. There are numorous videos caught on tape of blacks being beaten by cops but we choose to ignore it. The media is so focused on showing the bad aspect of the black community but not so much the good. If I see a black man wearing his hat sideways it does not mean he's a thug come on. open up your eyes america

Preamps
There only one thing you need a pre amp for and that is to amplify weak signals from microphones to standard line levels. There are different pre amps for different situations . pre amps are a important part of the recording studio process . But there are other equally important parts of the studio that make the process work (mics mixers compresors effects sound room plugins clean signal path) about $700 will get you a descent pre amp basically what you pay for is what you get.
There are 2 basic controls GAIN AND OVERLOAD indicator most people adjust the gain until the clip like goes on I think that the best way.

Recording tips
Microphones = microphones come in all shapes and sizes there are three different types of microphones dynamic , ribbon & condensor
(Condensor microphones) has omni directional pickup pattern condenser microphones pick up every subtle nusance in sound condenser microphones are great for sensitive work not great for high volume work condensor microphones should be kept in case or covered up if left out for a period of time condensor microphone are generally stronger than dynamic

(Dynamic micophones) are prefered by vocalists dynamics are very durable good in humidity they don’t need internal or external power sources dynamics usally have a weak high frequency response above 10kHz

Impedance is important in picking a microphone low impedance is better than high impedance impedance is measured in ohms. Microphones impedance are divided into three classes
Overloading – if overdriven a microphone will distort

LOW impedance less than 600 ohms
Medium impedance 600 -10000 ohms
High impedance over 10000
Best choice low impedance

Microphones pick up sound in different ways
Omnidirectional-means it picks up sound from different sides
Figure8 or bidirectional – picks up noise the same on both front and back weak on the sides
